Bro. Sam Taylor
Senior Pastor
Pastor Sam came to First Florence in January of 2023 and brings over 20 years of church ministry experience. He is a an engaging communicator and has a deep passion for teaching the scripture, serving the church, and seeing others grow in their faith. Sam is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and holds a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Sam loves spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and his children, Mac, Drew, and Clara. He also enjoys sports, hunting, and music. He is a dedicated leader who is committed to seeing First Florence make and impact for the gospel in our church, our community, and around the world.

Ryan Keith
Youth Pastor
Ryan is a dedicated and passionate Youth Pastor with a heart for young people. He graduated from Blue Mountain Christian University with a degree in Christian Ministry, where he gained a solid foundation in biblical studies, theology, and pastoral care. Since December 2020, Ryan has been serving as Youth Pastor, working closely with students and their families to provide guidance, support, and mentorship.
Ryan's approach to youth ministry is rooted in building authentic relationships with his students, earning their trust and respect, and providing a safe and welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable sharing their struggles and joys. He believes that youth ministry is about meeting young people where they are, listening to their needs, and helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence with grace, compassion, and wisdom.
In addition to his work as Youth Pastor, Ryan is a devoted husband to his wife Ansley. They share a deep love for serving others and are often found volunteering in their local community. In his free time, Ryan enjoys reading comics, music, and sports.

Alyssa Taylor
Interim Director of Children's Ministries
Alyssa Taylor is a devoted wife and mother of three. She has a heart for the church and a passion for sharing Christ's love with others. Alyssa graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She has worked as a preschool teacher at Fairview's Child Development Center and as a teacher assistant at Monticello Elementary School. Alyssa loves working with children of all ages and has a natural talent for teaching the Bible in an engaging and understandable way.
Alyssa's commitment to ministry is evident in her work alongside her husband for the past 15 years. She has recently joined the FBC Florence ministry team as the Interim Director of Children's Ministries, where she will assist in shaping the spiritual growth and development of the church's children.
In her role, Alyssa will use her experience as a nurse, educator and mother to develop age-appropriate curriculum, communicate with a team of volunteers, and minister to our children and families.

Susan Coleman
Administrative Assistant
Susan is a devoted member of the FBC Florence community, where she has been an active participant for over 33 years. She and her husband moved to Florence in January 1981, just a few months after getting married in November of the previous year. Together, they have built a life centered around their church and their family.
Susan's commitment to her church is evident in her many years of service. She has been involved in a variety of ministries and activities. Over the years, Susan has developed strong relationships with many members of the FBC Florence community, and has become an integral part of the church family.
Outside of church, Susan is equally dedicated to her family. She and her husband have a son, who is now married with two children. Susan adores her grandchildren, and loves spending time with them whenever possible.
Overall, Susan is a kind and caring person who has made a positive impact on many people's lives. Her commitment to her church and her family is an inspiration to those around her, and she is greatly appreciated by all who know her.

Alison Tadlock
Financial Secretary
Alison has been at FBC Florence for the past 21 years. She married her high school sweetheart, Frankie. They have been married for 35 years and have 3 children, 2 sons & a daughter. They also have 3 perfect & precious grand babies.
Ricky Styron
Director of Facilities & Technology
Ricky is a dedicated and skilled professional who has been working as the Director of Facilities & Technology since March 2023. Prior to this, he served as the part-time Media Director for the organization, demonstrating his versatility and willingness to take on new challenges.
Outside of work, Ricky is a devoted husband to his wife Hanna and a loving father to their two children, Addie (13) and Austin (10). He takes pride in his family and enjoys spending quality time with them, whether it's going to cheer competitions, baseball tournaments or simply relaxing at home.
