It still amazes me that God allows me to serve both the people of FBC Florence and the wonderful people of Florence and surrounding communities. Looking back on my life, I see how God uses various stages of life to equip us to do His work. No matter where He leads us, He equips and matures us. I've bagged groceries, cooked fast food, worked in the oil field, cleaned out sewers, served in the military that took me to Iraq to Hurricane Katrina, and more. In 2009, I was a fireman at the Richland Fire Department when one night I was convicted by God to surrender my life to ministry.
In July 2009, I became the youth pastor at FBC Florence after serving as the youth interim. Not for one minute did I think I would become the Lead Pastor, but it happened in August of 2015. God has His ways and they're convincingly always better than mine. Leading a church as a servant may not be easy at times, but God hasn't called any of us to a life free from hardships and difficulties. Serving Him is worth everything.
