It still amazes me that God allows me to serve both the people of FBC Florence and the wonderful people of Florence and surrounding communities. Looking back on my life, I see how God uses various stages of life to equip us to do His work. No matter where He leads us, He equips and matures us. I've bagged groceries, cooked fast food, worked in the oil field, cleaned out sewers, served in the military that took me to Iraq to Hurricane Katrina, and more. In 2009, I was a fireman at the Richland Fire Department when one night I was convicted by God to surrender my life to ministry.
In July 2009, I became the youth pastor at FBC Florence after serving as the youth interim. Not for one minute did I think I would become the Lead Pastor, but it happened in August of 2015. God has His ways and they're convincingly always better than mine. Leading a church as a servant may not be easy at times, but God hasn't called any of us to a life free from hardships and difficulties. Serving Him is worth everything.

Lead Pastor

I was born in July of 1980 at the no-longer called Hinds General Hospital in Jackson. I have since lived around Central Mississippi besides the exceptions of a few brief stops around Waco, TX and Jena, LA. My mom and I moved to Richland, MS in 1993 when I was in the 7th grade. It's there that I found many friends, placed my faith in Jesus, and met the love of my life, Natalie Burns.
In June of 2006, that beautiful blonde and I said "I Do" to each other. Natalie and I now have a wild young boy, Patton, who was born in March of 2010, and a silly little girl named Mollie Dae born in June of 2012. Almost every day is filled with chaos, laughter, stress, and memories. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have it any other way. Well...maybe a little less of the chaos.
